Inspiration

31-08-2021

Hello blog friends,

The last photo I took was 9 years ago. Time flies as we all know. A lot happened in those 9 years, children were born in my circle of acquaintances, of course. Although they didn't know me when I was still taking photos (which is also impossible since they are only 6 years old), they mean a lot to me. An example I told you some time ago: A little girl reading my book on the couch. This weekend I got some pictures of another champion, Sam, also 6 years old. He will definitely follow in my footsteps and is already showing great promise for the future. I got my first camera from my dad when I was 12, but Sam is already surpassing me by taking his first pictures. Like me, he seems to be self-taught. That is, you teach yourself everything and as you can see from the pictures, he is doing very well. Unfortunately, I can't say that he learned it from me, after all, he never saw me take pictures and I never explained anything to him about it. Of course, he has looked at my website, because he has already asked his mother if he should also have camouflage fabric on his lens, just like Uncle Adri. That makes me very happy. He's not learning from me, but apparently I am an inspiration after all, so that's nice to know too. I will show some examples that show that a great future is waiting for him.

If there are no lions around, you'll have to settle for the next best thing: a cow. These are big, of course, and can also be dangerous, so it's a good sign that the photographer is keeping a good distance from the animal.

A photographer on the hill. As you can see here, the photographer has sought a high vantage point to get an even better view of his subject. Well done!

As you can see here, the photographer chose a low vantage point, very good because you always have to photograph animals (in this case a grazing cow) at eye level.

A photographer in action with the telephoto lens. You can see that he is of course already holding the camera with one hand and supporting the lens with the other. This makes you more stable and prevents you from getting blurry photos. It is also good to see that the photographer is not using a tripod. This makes you faster and more flexible.

The photographer, as you can see, likes different angles. This indicates his high creativity, because it allows you to stand out from fellow photographers, looks very good!

In the last photo we see that the photographer has an eye for his equipment: Always wear the camera strap around your neck when walking, especially on slippery surfaces.

Now, a whole series of photos of Sam, 6 years old. You can see a young, promising photographer at work here. A very fast learner who will undoubtedly go very far. When he is older, he will probably push the boundaries of photography. I'm very pleased to see such a young artist who is completely comfortable with his father's camera. Sam, I think you have earned yourself a camera and I can also give you the address where you can get the camouflage material for your lens.

Love and see you next time! This time I'll see you on the new site.
